Booth Keeper
NeonReel is noir roleplay for adults, run as a sixteen-night season. First reel ran in November 2026; the women on the bill are all AI characters.
What this is
We wrote 16 women for an invented rain city and gave each a night, an opening shot and a question. You choose a date, read the scene, and play the part she hands you. The structure is that of a repertory season, and the mood is the one old detective pictures have, with the cruelty left out. We kept it to sixteen nights so that each could be properly lit.
About the name
The address hints at reels and something coy, and the picture house is rather politer. There is no film here, no video of anyone and no tie to any site of that sort. What goes up on the screen is written scenes, one portrait per woman and a banner behind the front page. Should moving pictures ever arrive, the late show will announce them first.
What this house will not do
- Show real footage, real actors or real people.
- Present a character as someone alive.
- Hand your messages to advertisers or anyone else.
- Cast anyone under 18 in a scene, under any pretext or in any costume.
Writing to the projectionist
A person reads the address in the footer. Notes on continuity, complaints about the weather and requests for a seventeenth night are all received.
